I have been downloading 'podcasts' of NPR shows, but my current MP3 player won't let me fast forward IN the track, so I have to start it over if I don't finish it, which is impossible. Anyhoo, Creative Labs makes a nice player that does everything I need and is simple to use (and is not too too much):
